1. When using Tapochao.com, always be aware of who you are communicating with. When using the platform, make sure you are dealing with a legitimate seller or buyer. Make sure to verify any information before making any payments.
2. Avoid sharing your personal information, such as your address, phone number, and bank account details with any unknown individuals. If possible, arrange for a cash payment upon delivery.
3. Research the seller/buyer beforehand. If you can, get the contact’s full name, address, and any other relevant information.
4. Be wary of any suspicious activities, such as requests for personal information, sellers/buyers who are unwilling to share information, or requests for large sums of money.
5. If buying or selling extremely large items such as cars or boats, never agree to meet in a deserted and/or unfamiliar area. If possible, meet in a public place and bring a friend or family member along.
6. Before making any payments, make sure you inspect the item and test it out. If you’re the seller, make sure you remember to take the item out of your home or vehicle in the presence of the buyer and provide any necessary documents.
7. If you suspect any fraudulent activity, report to the platform administrators immediately.
Do not share any confidential information:
Never give someone that you do not personally know and trust any confidential information such as: your Social Security Number, credit card details, or bank information. Only share information that is absolutely necessary for the transaction.
Do not respond to requests for financial help.
No matter how convincing or compelling someone's reason or situation may seem, we highly recommend that you don't send money or other forms of financial help to people you don't personally know and trust.
